About Acupuncture Awareness Week
2nd March - 8th March 2015

Acupuncture Awareness Week, supported by the British Acupuncture Council, aims to help better inform people about the ancient practice of traditional acupuncture. With 2.3 million acupuncture treatments carried out each year, acupuncture is one of the most popular complementary therapies practiced in the UK today. Yet many people only discover acupuncture as a last resort despite its widely recognised health benefits. If you would like to find out more about acupuncture and how it can benefit you, you'll find independent expert advice here.

You may have seen in the news this week that Gweneth Paltrows husband, Chris Martin the lead singer from Coldplay seems to have followed her lead and tried Chinese Massage Cupping.
If you would like to try it for yourself Lynn has recently trained in this therapy and is offering it now in the clinic and during May there is 10% off your first treatment- why not give us a call.
Cupping"Cupping has been proven as an important part of Chinese Medicine for thousands of years and is now firmly establishing itself as part of clinical care within areas of the NHS.
It is primarily used to treat many musculo-skeletal conditions, which makes it a perfect tool for massage therapists. It uses heat and suction to draw wastes and toxins from deep tissue, which can relieve pain and make the accompanying massage much more effective. Results can be quick and amazing for your clients, especially in areas of deep chronic tension, where even experienced massage hands can’t always get to."
